Resort fly fishing at Palapas Ventana
This is one of the best ways to experience La Ventana Bay: walk from your casita to the pangas, strip line in clear Sea of Cortez water, and fish with captains who live these tides. Sight-fishing for roosterfish along rocky points is the signature - and big roosters are a real possibility when the bait and light line up - alongside permit, dorado, leopard grouper (cabrilla), pargo, sierra, and whatever the day shows.
Snag-free decks, stripping baskets, and leaning posts on our fly boats. Bring your own fly gear (10- and 12-weight setups are the workhorses); our tackle shop has flies and leaders. Day trips run about eight hours with lunch and filet service; multi-day resort packages stack full fishing days with meals and freezer support.
